Supersub and Diver Submersible Drainage Pumps
The Supersub Submersible Pump from Stuart Turner is designed to work in the smallest space possible, while still retaining the benefits that a submersible pump brings. Submersible pumps are incredibly useful in situations where there is a risk of cavitation (air bubbles forming in the water, hampering the action of the pump.) A submersible pump is generally though to work more efficiently than its jet pump equivalent due to the differences in the way that they move the water. While a submersible pump will push fluid to the surface, a jet pump works by pulling fluid from above.
Used for a range of applications including sewage pumping, drainage, slurry pumping and general industrial pumping, submersible pumps come in all shapes and sizes to cope with the differing demands each use will bring. The compact design of the Stuart Turner Supersub pump makes it ideal for pumping waste water, dirty water or rain water, while its dual mode control allows it to be used to pump automatically and manually. A maximum immersion depth of seven metres coupled with a power cable 10 metres long makes this submersible pump suitable for most domestic and light industrial uses.
Popular with people with ponds, submersible pumps can be used to power the filter, keeping the water clean for the fish and other aquatic life living within your outdoor water features. Large scale and multiple stage sub pumps are can be installed following being lowered down boreholes to facilitate the abstraction of water, and even in oil wells.
